Come unwind in the refreshing waters, soak up the sun on the sandy beach, enjoy the family park area, or play beach volleyball at the Slocan waterfront—just steps away from The Col Guesthouse. Some adventurous souls brave the larger Slocan Lake and start swimming in June, while most prefer to wait until the water warms up in July. The east side beaches are primarily rocky, except for Slocan Beach, and you'll find sandy spots on the west side in Valhalla Provincial Park.
Safety is key—this beach is not monitored, so swimmers must take responsibility for their own safety. Slocan Beach, located at the end of the main street in the village of Slocan, features a sandy shoreline, a dock, and a small diving board. There’s also a boat launch next to the beach area and a gazebo that serves as the trailhead for the Slocan Valley Rail Trail.
